Mr. and Mrs. John Stephen Smith celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Jan. 24, 2013.

John Stephen Smith and Nell Fitzgerald were married Jan. 24, 1953. The Rev. Msgr. Graffeo of the Immaculate Conception Church presided at the ceremony which was held in the Catholic parsonage.

They are both lifetime residents of Corsicana. Mr. Smith retired from the United States Postal Service in 1990.

Their children are Marlys Spikes of Cresson, Paul and Melody Smith of Corsicana, Angela Neal of Corsicana, and Dana and Joe Hoskins of Granbury. Their 13 grandchildren are Shannon and Patrick Scott of Kingwood, Mary-Margaret and Eric Lemons of Fort Worth, Martha-Nell and John Kennedy of Fort Worth, Shelley Spikes of Cresson, Hallie Smith and Chase Smith of Fort Worth, Daniel, Jonathon and Nicholas Neal all of Corsicana, Holly Hoskins and Heather Hoskins of Austin, Paul Joseph and Peyton Hoskins of Granbury. They were also blessed with great-grandchildren Molly, Maggie and Taylor McCammon Scott of Kingwood, Lucy Mac and Thomas Lemons of Fort Worth, and Ellie Kennedy of Fort Worth.

The Smiths celebrate this joyous occasion with their children.
