Christine Gotcher and Gayle Garner were married July 3, 1947 in the Methodist parsonage in Chatfield by Pastor V. Vinson.

They have lived in Navarro County all their lives.

Gayle owned and operated Garner’s Auto in Corsicana for 27 years.

They were blessed with three children, Ronald Garner of Longview, Gail Garner Smith of Possum Kingdom Lake and Melanie Garner Bland of Corsicana.

They were also blessed with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A get-together with family and friends was planned at Possum Kingdom Lake at the home of James and Gail Smith, their daughter and son-in-law, over the weekend following July Fourth.
