A strong storm system will move through the southern Plains today resulting in scattered showers and thunderstorms...windy conditions...and dangerous fire weather conditions. The greatest threat for severe weather will be this afternoon and evening across the eastern half of the region. Damaging winds will be the main threat with thunderstorms through the afternoon. Behind the front/dryline...strong west winds and low humidity will result in dangerous fire weather conditions.
