Ex-Tiger Thomas makes All-Big 12 Academic Team

Corsicana’s Stayton Thomas, a sophomore pitcher for the University of Texas, made the Academic All-Big 12 first team released by the conference.

Thomas, one of three Longhorns to make the team, had a 3.4 grade-point average, his father Robbie Thomas said.

Stayton is playing for the Brewster Whitecaps this summer in the prestigious Cape Cod League.
