Lewis and Margie Watkins of Corsicana are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Brittany Meischelle Watkins to Eric Ryan Lassiter, son of Gary and Marilyn Lassiter of Fairfield.

The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Corsicana High School, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from TAMU-Commerce. She is employed by Corsicana Independent School District as an elementary science and math teacher.

The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Fairfield High School, and is employed by Luminant.

The wedding and reception are scheduled for Jan. 7, 2012 at The Cook Center Planetarium.
