Corsicana —

William “Buddy” and Shara Borden of Richland and Jimmie and Shawna Sterling of Mexia would like to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Katherine Elizabeth Borden and Jimmie Matthew Sterling.

Katherine is the granddaughter of Weldon and Betty Higginbotham and the late Lynette Higginbotham and Lillian Borden and the late William Borden. Matt is the grandson of Harold and Myra Fisher, L.R. “Ranny” and Valerie Little and the late John and Maxine Sterling.

Katherine is a 2011 graduate of Corsicana High School, attended Navarro College and will be attending McLennan Community College in the fall. Matt is a 2009 graduate of Mexia High School and MCC. He is currently a fireman/EMT for the Mexia Fire Department.

The wedding is scheduled for Oct. 6, 2012 at Northcrest Church of Christ, 918 Tehuacana Road, Mexia.
