Mr. and Mrs. John Heard are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Joanna Sue Heard, to Derek Oliver Smith, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin Smith of Friendswood, Texas.
Joanna is a 2001 graduate of Corsicana High School and a 2006 graduate of Texas State University with a degree in interior design. She is employed by Guardian Industries as a customer account manager.
Derek is a 2001 graduate of Clear Brook High School and a 2006 graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He is employed by Silver Eagle Distributors in the accounting department.
The wedding is scheduled for March 20, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Corsicana.
