Andrew Barnett and Elizabeth Barrar wish to announce their engagement. The bride-to-be is the younger daughter of Steve and Elena Barrar of Boothwyn, Penn., outside of Philadelphia. She is a graduate of DeSales University in 2008 and is pursuing a graduate degree in education at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. Andrew is the oldest of four children of Jack and Leslie Barnett of Corsicana. Andrew graduated from Corsicana High School in 1995. He graduated from New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico in 1999, and from the University of Texas, Austin in 2001. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration through the Naval Post-graduate School. Andrew was commissioned in the U.S. Navy in 2002 and currently serves as an F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet Instructor Pilot and Landing Signals Officer at NAS Oceana, Va.

They plan to be married in Virginia Beach in November.
