Caring for others

To the Editor: During the month of November, the medical profession recognizes National Hospice and Palliative Care Month. TRISUN Healthcare, a subsidiary of Harden Healthcare that manages TRISUN Care Center Corsicana, Heritage Oaks Retirement Village and Heritage Oaks West Retirement Village in Corsicana, would like to take this opportunity to salute the very special people who work in the hospice field.

Hospice provides a unique blend of clinical, social and spiritual support services for patients and their families. This care adds quality and dignity to the lives of patients facing end-of-life illnesses. The support provided to families allows them to focus on spending quality time with their loved one rather than on care-giving details during this difficult time. Hospice is also there to support the family after its loss.

On behalf of TRISUN Healthcare, we would like to say thank you to hospice caregivers who work in long-term care facilities to help patients and their families when they need it most.

Sincerely,

Chris Roussos

Appreciates hospitality

To the Editor: Thank you to Connie Beal, Senior Circle Coordinator, Navarro Regional Hospital(NRH), Ambassadors, Vendors, and Bronze partner, Family First Hospice, Inc., for sponsoring Senior Circle Anniversary at the beautiful Cook Center Nov. 15.

As the keynote speaker and first time visitor, your hospitality was appreciated very much! NRH works hard to bring excellent programming to Senior Circle members. If you're a current member, keep supporting this wonderful wellness initiative. If you're not yet a member, consider joining today!

Thanks again for a beautiful room, great food, great people and a great deal of laughter!

    Our rights in danger
To the Editor: In reference to the Corsicana Daily Sun article dated April 4, 2013, the president has already trampled on our First Amendment religious freedom, forcing people to pay for contraception and abortion — now he is tackling our Second Amendment rights. He uses children when politically expedient.
