Letters to the Editor

January 7, 2012

The Grinch Did Not Steal our Christmas Thanks to Navarro Regional Hospital ER.

Corsicana —

A very scary time on Christmas Eve when my son calls to say Connor was not acting right after he had gone to bed in anticipation of Santa.

As I arrived Connor was going into a seizure and nothing we did stopped it so off to the dreaded ER. The minute we got there we immediately were taken back to a room and Connor received the quickest and best care possible.

I was blown away by the hast and efficiency with which they stopped the seizure.  We were then transferred to Cooks Ft. Worth to Connors Neuro team for further treatment by the wonderful ambulance team.

Please I hope you will post this letter to let everyone know that we DO have a wonderful efficient Emergency Department here at Navarro Regional Hospital.

Thanks to all that made our Christmas Extra Special,

Sincerely Richard and Karen Tate, Richard and Connor Chaney

    AirSho a delightful experience
My husband and I attended the Corsicana Airsho on Saturday, May 11. This was the first time for both of us to see the airsho. I would like to personally thank all those involved in truly making this a delightful experience. It was especially special because of my husband’s poor health.

To the Editor: Education, in my opinion, is the key to solving the problems we face in today’s world. We owe it to every child in Corsicana to provide him/her with the tools to reach their fullest potential.

    Our rights in danger
To the Editor: In reference to the Corsicana Daily Sun article dated April 4, 2013, the president has already trampled on our First Amendment religious freedom, forcing people to pay for contraception and abortion — now he is tackling our Second Amendment rights. He uses children when politically expedient.

    Concerned with plan
To the Editor: I was appalled when I read your front page article in Wednesday's paper (April 10) stating that the downtown businesses planned to serve wine and cheese to shoppers on April 25.
