CHS Class of 1947
The 47th annual get-together of the Corsicana High School Class of 1965 will take place starting at 10 a.m. on Oct. 13 at the Wicklow Inn, atd the corner of Fourth Avenue and 14th Street.
The visiting will start the evening of Friday the 12th at the Inn, and everyone is invited over to fellowship that evening.
No meals are planned for this weekend, so classmates will be free to make their own plans. The only scheduled activity is a Co-ed softball game starting at 11 a.m. at Beebe Field at Community Park. Scott Tekell will be organizing the game, so contact him directly to sign up. He can be reached at (817-448-6642.

Robert Keith Shimonek of the United States Navy was recently promoted from MN2(sw) to MN1(sw) while deployed in 5th Fleet Bahrain for the fourth time. He has currently done a 10, 8, 9, and 7 month tour in 4 years overseas. Pictured are Shimonek (left) and friend MN1(sw) Michael Prendergast. He is scheduled to come home in late June 2013.

Navarro County Treasurer Frank Hull was notified of his nomination for Outstanding County Treasurer by the County Treasurer's Association of Texas (CTAT) Chairman of the Nomination Committee, Donna Kelly, Erath County Treasurer. The winner is determined by a vote of the 250 membership in May. Only five are nominated each year.

In the Tree House: The ‘Weirdo’ in the airport
Another Daviss adventure is under our belts. Our travel and airport experience went fairly smoothly considering we were travelling with three boys, four suitcases, a stroller and two car seats. But we did make it through everything unscathed, and returned safely.
