Corsicana — Campbell Grove High School Reunion, Richland

The Campbell Grove High School Reunion of Richland will kick of Sept. 8 at 12 p.m. at the La Quinta Inn Banquet Room at 2020 Regal Drive off I-45. Contact persons are Joyce Riles Weaver at (903) 872-2777, and Louise Gabril (214) 376-5144.

CHS Class of 1967 Reunion

The Corsicana High School Class of 1967 will meet at The Remington on Friday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 15, from noon until 4 p.m. they will gather to visit and have a jam session at The Remington at 122 W. Third Avenue. Saturday evening will be at The Cook Center from 6 to 11 p.m. A brunch will be held Sunday, Sept. 16. Corsicana High School Class of 1972 Reunion

Attention all Corsicana High School graduates of the Class of 1972: We’re looking for you!

The CHS Class of 1972 40th Class Reunion will be Oct. 27, 2012 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. at The Remington, 122 W. Third Ave. Jr. and the Journeymen will be providing the entertainment. They are a great band playing the classic hits of the 60s, 70s and newer. Hors d’oeuvres will be served together with veggie trays, sweets/fruit, tea and water. A cash bar will be open for adult drinks and soft drinks. Dress is CASUAL. The dining area will be reserved for the Reunion while the remaining areas will be opened for all. There will be a $7 cover to listen and dance to the band for those not coming to the Reunion, but all are invited to take part. Registration is open to all classes, especially to those from Classes of 1969-1975. Prepaid registration is now open including food:

$25 for singles

$40 for couples

The night of the event, prices will be:

$30 for singles

$50 for couples

Robert Keith Shimonek of the United States Navy was recently promoted from MN2(sw) to MN1(sw) while deployed in 5th Fleet Bahrain for the fourth time. He has currently done a 10, 8, 9, and 7 month tour in 4 years overseas. Pictured are Shimonek (left) and friend MN1(sw) Michael Prendergast. He is scheduled to come home in late June 2013.

Navarro County Treasurer Frank Hull was notified of his nomination for Outstanding County Treasurer by the County Treasurer's Association of Texas (CTAT) Chairman of the Nomination Committee, Donna Kelly, Erath County Treasurer. The winner is determined by a vote of the 250 membership in May. Only five are nominated each year.

The Spring Hill Cemetery Association will have its Annual Meeting at 2:30 p.m. Sunday May 5, 2013, after the Matthews Family Reunion, at the First Baptist Church in Dawson Family Life Center which will be followed by a visit to the Cemetery. Another Daviss adventure is under our belts. Our travel and airport experience went fairly smoothly considering we were travelling with three boys, four suitcases, a stroller and two car seats. But we did make it through everything unscathed, and returned safely.
