New education benefits will be available for U.S. veterans, reservist, guards, and dependents beginning Aug. 1. Navarro College is now accepting applications for the fall 2009 semester.
Call and schedule an appointment on the Corsicana campus with the college’s veterans’ certifying official Kay Schipper at (903) 875-7347, or send your e-mail requests to: kay.schipper@navarrocollege.edu.
For those who reside in Ellis County, Schipper will be on the Waxahachie campus: July 16, Aug. 4, and Aug. 20, from 8 to 11 a.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m.; and on the same dates on the Midlothian campus from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Take this opportunity to learn more about the many educational programs offered for U.S. veterans. You may be eligible and not know. There are many more opportunities available now than ever before to continue your college education or start a new career. Sometimes, the information can be a bit confusing and hard to understand just what you do qualify for, but Navarro College’s veterans’ certifying official is ready to answer any questions to help you determine your eligibility.
