Firefighters teach CPR to Naval recruits

Corsicana — Braz Davis pulled few punches Thursday as he and fellow Corsicana Firefighters Association member Cory Campbell taught CPR to local Naval Recruits.

At the West Seventh Avenue office, Davis outlined some real life details with 11 recruits who will soon join the Navy full-time.

“They have to know (CPR) at boot camp,” said recruiter Clay Bayes, a Corsicana High graduate. “Once a month we meet so they know what to expect.”

Bayes said he tries to bring in a different speaker each month to assist the recruits as they prepare to join.
