Coat drive 'shares the warmth'

Corsicana — Corsicana Cleaners and Laundry is playing a role in helping keep folks warm this winter, thanks to the annual coat drive the business conducts.

Customers and the public are asked to drop off used coats at the cleaners for distribution through Family Services to those in need of winter coat.

The business then cleans and repairs the coats, and Family Services handles the distribution.

The "Share the Warmth" coat drive is one of several community support efforts held annually by Corsicana Cleaners and Laundry.

Former Kerens VFD treasurer arrested for theft
The loss of $2,900 from the Kerens Volunteer Fire Department in May has led to the arrest of the group’s treasurer, Kaell Mullen.
