Kinsloe House members to hold program Feb. 6
The Furnishings Committee, headed by Donna Ingram with Cecelia Alexander, Shirley Barnes, Kathryn Corley, Linda Fannin, Carolyn French, Corinne Lee, Jan Moore, Edna Richardson, Ruth Scott, Jo Skews, and Carlene Woolf will have their program on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at 12 noon.
Members who attend will enjoy a presentation by Lt. Ken Authier, with the Texas DPS. Lt. Authier is a very interesting speaker. His presentation will be on Personal Safety. He always presents his information in such a way that it relates to all of us.
Members must make their reservations or cancellations by 12 noon, Feb. 5, 2013 by calling the Kinsloe House at (903) 874-5791.
Daughters of the American Revolution to meet twice in February
James Blair Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will have two meetings in February 2013. The first meeting will take place at the Kinsloe House on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 3 p.m. American History Essay Winners will be presented awards by the program chairman Sandra Curtis. Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens from high schools will be introduced by program chairman Margaret Thomas. Hostesses for the meeting will be Virginia Ray and Jane Taylor.
The second meeting of the organization will be held Feb. 27, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the home of Suzanne Smith, 603 Mills Place. New members in the James Blair Chapter will be honored at this special bi-annual event called the George Washington Tea. Hostesses for the tea are Beth Chapman, Geneva Davis, Lynda Green, Mellie Howard, Donna Ingham, Billie Love McFerran, Betty Partain, Mary Lou Sanders, Gelene Simpson, Jane Taylor, Margaret Thomas and Jan Warren.
