The Warehouse Living Arts Center Theatre will present “The Boys Next Door” beginning Thursday, July 12.  The opening night includes an after-the-show  reception immediately following the performance. An Off-Broadway success, this very funny and equally touching play focuses on the lives of four mentally-challenged men who live together in a group home. Filled with humor, the play is also marked by the compassion and understanding with which it peers into the lives of its handicapped protagonists. Tom Griffin’s play is as relevant today as it was when it was written in 1986. Other performances will be July 13-15, 17, 19-21. Gospel Jubilee will be held at Martins Music Hall, 102 S. Beaton at 7 p.m. Gospel Jubilee is the fourth Saturday night of each month. Doors open at 6 p.m., and admission is $10 per person. Special guest for this performance is the Eternal River Band, as well as Shelly Buckley, Danielle Pillans, and Carolyn Cobb. They are joined by the Heavenly Highways Band, Elias Lowe, Gary Poe and Ricky Woodall.



The VFW Post 3366 will have a dance from 8 p.m. to midnight in the Ballroom. The Spur City Rounders will be providing your favorite country sounds. Band plays from 8 to 12 and admission is free. Donations are always appreciated to help pay the band. Remember, there is a dance on the last Saturday of each month. All are welcome.
