The application deadline for a $1,000 scholarship by Southwestern Surgery Center Partnership must be postmarked by May 31, 2010. Eligibility requires a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, resident of Ellis, Navarro or Kaufman counties, and self-motivated individual with intent to continue their education in health care.
Interested applicants should complete the application found at www.southwesternsurgerycenter.com, submit a passport size photo, complete a 500 word essay on why you would like to pursue a career in health care, and submit one personal and one educator reference form, which can be found on the previous listed Web site.
The top five applicants will be notified of interview and process by July 5, 2010. One scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded. The scholarship award is intended to be used for tuition, fees, or other requirements of the academic institution. Recipient of the Southwestern Surgery Center Partnership Scholarship will be notified by Aug. 23, 2010.
