Corsicana —
It was sometime during the Christmas break that a water leak at Bowie Elementary School flooded a classroom in the building.
But that building was made “school ready” thanks in large part to some extra effort by Lead Custodian Danny Owens to make sure teachers and students could return to school without any interruption.
CISD Trustees honored Owens Monday during the board’s business meeting for his work for the district.
Owens was nominated for the district’s “C-Award” by principal Amy Owens for his service to the district. Owens was presented with a certificate for his efforts and dedication to duty, along with a pin in the shape of the familiar Corsicana “C” representing the district’s football logo.
