The Palace Theatre is proud to announce its 2012-2013 season featuring some huge professional acts. The Palace Theatre prides itself on presenting a diverse season of performing arts for this community. With the season, patrons will get “a little bit” of everything from pop to country, to rock and roll to classical, and will save money as the Palace continues with their lower ticket prices.

The 2012-2013 season will kick-off on Saturday, Sept. 29 with the country legend, Marty Stuart. This four time Grammy winner and platinum recording artist has graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, spent six years with Johnny Cash, sings bluegrass like no other, and will be putting on a one night extravaganza at the Palace Theatre in September.

Next on the stage might be one of the biggest names to hit the Palace stage, the soulful voice of Aaron Neville.  Aaron Neville will be joined by his saxophone genius brother, to perform a full show of not only his hits, like “Everybody Plays the Fool” or “Tell It Like It Is”, but also Christmas favorites in this performance on Friday, Dec. 7.

In February, the Palace will welcome classical music’s newest stars, The 5 Browns. The 5 Browns have been delivering their music to some of the largest crowds across the globe with their unique blend of 5 Steinway Grand pianos on one stage. You may see them each on their own piano, or three on one piano, but you will not want to miss this performance on Feb. 7. Named one of People Magazine’s Most Beautiful in 2002, they were quickly dubbed the “Fab Five” and have been on Oprah, 60 Minutes and many more.

Ricky Nelson Remembered will be on stage in March and will walk music lovers through the story of Ricky Nelson from Ozzie and Harriet to his untimely death. Nelson’s sons, Matthew and Gunnar, identical twins who had much success in the 80’s with their own band Nelson, will take you on an adventure that features never before seen footage, home videos, and most importantly their father’s music. This show will have you dancing in the aisles. You will want to be in your seat on Saturday, March 23, when we welcome Ricky Nelson Remembered.

To finish off the year, the Palace will present Black Violin. Black Violin combines a daunting array of musical styles and influences to produce a signature sound this is not quite maestro, not quite emcee, this group of two classically trained violinists and their DJ is redefining the music world-one string at a time. With influences ranging from Shostakovich and Back to Nas and Jay-Z, Black Violin breaks all the rules, blending the classical with the modern to create something rare. This performance will take place on Thursday, May 2.

In addition to the Performance Series, the Palace is offering a Derrick Days Weekend Block Party. Saturday, April 27, will feature a dinner block party and the sounds of The Randy Brown Band.

The only way to guarantee your seats to these events is with a Palace Season subscription. Current season ticket holders can renew their seats now through Aug. 24. Beginning Sept. 4, the remaining seats will be available for sale. Ticket prices range from as low as $97 to $184 for all five shows and your subscription will save you up to 40 percent off individual ticket prices. Individual tickets for these shows will go on sale approximately four to six weeks before the show date.
