Missouri man arrested after chase
A police chase that started in Navarro County and ended in Groesbeck resulted in the arrest of a Missouri man Wednesday.
Paul Wesley Strange II, 34, has been charged with evading arrest, aggravated assault and aggravated robbery, according to KXXV-TV in Waco.
Strange had been stopped by a Department of Public Safety trooper in Corsicana when he fled from the trooper and headed south on Interstate 45. The chase wound up on Highway 14 through Mexia and on to Groesbeck, where Strange’s car collided with another car at a gas station. Strange attempted to take a pickup truck parked at the gas station when he was apprehended.
According to the report from KXXV, Strange said he fled law enforcement over fear of outstanding warrants for his arrest.
