The search for a Hubbard burglary suspect that began Saturday afternoon was called off about 7 p.m. Saturday. The suspect was not found.
The man was wanted on several charges. He had reportedly been spotted by a law enforcement officer at a home near the Navarro/Hill County border about 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, and fled out the rear of the residence.
Police, sheriff's deputies and DPS troopers searched in Hill County for severa hours, using a search helicopter and dogs from the TDCJ.
It is believed the man was headed toward the Hubbard area.
The suspect was described at a black male, about 5 foot 7 inches tall, last seen on foot wearing a white shirt.
The Hubbard Police Department is the investigating agency in the case.
