Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3366, located at Veterans Drive off West State Highway 31, will have First Class Karaoke with Jerry and Nedra House from 8 to 11:45 p.m. Post canteen will open at 4 p.m. For more information, call after 4 p.m. to (903) 872-3811.



The closing concert of the Texas Southern Gospel School of Music will begin at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 510 W. Collin St., Corsicana. Come and be a guest for a wonderful evening of southern gospel music at its best. There is no admission charge, and the public is invited to attend.



July 12

American Legion Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., invites members and their guests for Walker Creek Karaoke with Howard and Loran from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. No cover charge. Post will open at 2 p.m. For more information, call after 2 p.m. to (903) 874-3938.



The fourth annual Fur Ball will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight at the VFW Post 3366, 4609 W. State Highway 31, off Veterans Drive, hosted by the Navarro County Animals at Risk Foundation. July 19

American Legion Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., invites members and their guests for Country Sue’s Karaoke from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. No cover charge. Post will open at 2 p.m. American Legion, the Ladies Auxiliary and Sons of American Legion also invites you to a fund-raiser for the post. There will be a hamburger steak dinner with all the trimmings from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost will be $7 per person. An auction will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. along with other fun events. July 24-Aug. 2

Warehouse Living Arts Center Theatre, 119 W. Sixth Ave., will present the third show of its 2008 season with “Sylvia” at 7:30 p.m. July 24-26, 29-30 and Aug. 1-2 and 2 p.m. July 27. Cast for this A.R. Gurney comedy, directed by Cranston Dodds, includes Alisan Heath, Frank Means, Aimee Kasprzyk and Chase Springer. For more information or tickets, call (903) 872-5421.
