Single Believers Ministries will have the third annual fund-raiser/one night revival for Mary Peterson Day Care at 7:30 p.m. July 26 at Taylor Memorial Church of God in Christ, 1624 G.W. Jackson Ave. (formerly East Fifth Avenue), where the pastor is Bishop F.G. Taylor. The speaker will be Pastor Carlos Daniels of Faith Tabernacle Ministries of Palestine. Worship and praise will be by Minister Ramon Aceves. Special soloists will Steven Andrews, City of Corsicana Precinct 3 council member, and Misha Parker.

Carlos Dwayne Daniels graduated in 1989 from Fairfield High School. Afterwards he attended Trinity Valley Community College where he played basketball for two years. He then moved to Dallas where he was called to the ministry under the leadership of Elder R.C. Willis, pastor of Salvation Lighthouse Church of God in Christ in Ferris.

In 1996, Daniels moved back to his hometown of Fairfield, where he joined Faith Temple Ministries under the leadership of the late Elder Ivy Joe Rischer Sr. Daniels remained faithful at the ministry, being an associate minister to Rischer until his death. Daniels served as Sunday school superintendent, youth pastor, assistant pastor, prison ministry, and church counselor, just to name a few.

In 1997, Daniels married Rischer’s daughter, DeMetria, and through this union in 2000, their first child was born. A “miracle” is what she is known by; born at 5 months into pregnancy and weighing 1 pounds, 8 ounces, she is definitely a “miracle.” Daniels really stepped into the evangelistic field after this. He’s known for doing annual revivals in the area. Then God decided to widen his horizons. He’s traveled over the nation and even out of the country. He’s preached the gospel in Minneapolis, Minn., Monroe, La., Hobbs, N.M., Carlsbad, N.M., Jackson, Miss., and many more places.

Daniels was called into the field of pastoring in 2004. Daniels, along with his wife by his side, started the Faith Temple Ministries in Palestine. Attending the first Sunday were Daniels, his wife, and their daughter along with God adding 10 members. Now there are over 250 members on the roll with about 100 active members. Faith Tabernacle Ministries is a light in the city of Palestine.

The church is located in the midst of drugs and violence. The church which had been there before complained about break-ins and theft of equipment and furniture. All thanks and praises to God, Daniels remodeled the whole sanctuary and added on and to this date God has placed his guardian angels at the doors and windows.

Through this ministry, drug dealers and being delivered, people hooked on drugs and alcohol are being delivered, people are being set free and delivered and suicidal spirits are being cast out in the name of Jesus.
