Any old interior pictures of the Navarro County Courthouse are being sought. Those during the inception of the courthouse (1905) through the 1930s are especially needed. If you have one of these photos, the Corsicana Preservation Foundation would like to borrow them for a short period of time. Navarro County Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance meets at 7 p.m. each Tuesday in the fellowship hall at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 101 N. 14th St. All are welcome to learn to give and to receive support at the weekly meetings. Frost Volunteer Fire Department has a community service center to help families in the area, who have lost their homes to fire, those with a financial need or those with catastrophic medical conditions. Donations are accepted from 3 to 5 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at the Community Service Center, located on Garitty Street in Frost. Navarro County Animals at Risk Foundation meets at 6:30 p.m. the third Monday of every month in the sunroom at Heritage Oaks West. Visitors and anyone interested in animal welfare are always welcome. NCARF is also collecting empty ink jet cartridges, empty laser cartridges and digital cell phones to be recycled. Money received from the recycling will help the homeless and neglected animals of Navarro County. Instead of just tossing these items away, save them and save the life of a deserving cat or dog.
