Dawson advances in One Act Play competition
The Dawson High School OAP cast and crew competed in the District 19-A Zone B U.I.L. One-Act Play competition on March 26 at Frost High School. Dawson performed “The Bridegroom of Blowing Rock” by Catherine Trieschmann.
Cast members included Reagan Woodall, Rachel Ivie, Haylee Kimbriel, Tyler Kimbriel, Tyler Green, Hayden Hatfield and Kathryn Feuge.
The following awards were received:
Rachel Ivie — Best Actress; Tyler Green — Best Actor; Reagan Woodall — All Star Cast; Hayden Hatfield — Honorable Mention All-Star Cast; and Kathryn Feuge — Honorable Mention All-Star Cast.
The two plays that advanced to the next level were “The Bridegroom of Blowing Rock” performed by Dawson High School and “The Lottery” performed by Wortham High School. These two schools advanced to the District Contest to be held on April at Hill College.
The directors for the school are Mrs. Sheryl Bragg and Mrs. Tana Wade.
