Corsicana — A list of campus start times for Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, the first day of 'Back to School' for all Navarro County schools.

Here are the starting times and opening bells for Monday’s return to school on campuses throughout Navarro County

Blooming Grove ISD

All campuses at 7:55 a.m.



Corsicana Indendent School District

Bowie 7:50 a.m.

Fannin 7:50 a.m.

Carroll 7:50 a.m.

Drane 8 a.m.

Collins 7:55 a.m.

CHS 8 a.m.

Sam Houston  7:50 a.m.

Navarro Elementary 7:50 a.m.



Dawson ISD

One campus at 7:54 a.m.



Frost ISD

One campus at 8:15 a.m.



Hubbard ISD

Secondary campus, 7:45 a.m.

Elementary campus, 7:55 a.m.



Kerens ISD

One campus 7:55 a.m.



Mildred ISD

Elementary  8 a.m.

Junior/High School  8 a.m.



Rice ISD

Elementary  7:45 a.m.

Intermediate Middle School   7:55 a.m.

High School   7:55 a.m.



Wortham ISD

Elem and Middle School starts at 7:45am.  

8:18 for High school unless high school students have tutorials, then they

will need to be at school at 7:45am.

    The Corsicana City Council approved minimum rules and standards for the Corsicana airport when the group met in regular session Tuesday. The written rules will allow the city to receive grant money from the Federal Aviation Administration, which comes through the Texas Department of Transportation.

  • 6:30 p.m. update: Heaviest storms pass to the east

    Light rain and a few thunderstorms remain, but the heaviest of the weather had moved to the east of Navarro County at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

  • 5 p.m. Update: Storms cover most of county, Tornado Watch remains in effect

    At 5 p.m. radar imagery shows the line of storms covering most of Navarro County, with the heaviest storms in the northern half of the county.

    There have been no reports of severe weather as of 5 p.m., but frequent lightening, gusty winds and rainfall are occurring across the county.

    A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 7 p.m.
