County commissioners to meet Monday

A public hearing on the proposed ad valorem tax rate for Navarro County is set for Monday when the Navarro County Commissioners Court are scheduled to meet in special session at 10 a.m. in the County Courtroom of the Navarro County Courthouse.

There is no change in the proposed tax rate of 62.70 cents per $100 taxable valuation, but because the rate will raise more money than last year because of new properties and increased valuations, public hearings are required as a part of the budgeting process.

Commissioners are also scheduled to go into closed session to discuss personnel and real estate during Monday’s meeting.

The full agenda for Monday’s meeting:

• Consent Agenda, including minutes of previous meetings and several budget adjustments.

• Public Hearing on Tax Increase.

• Consideration of Burn Ban.

• Consideration to approve funding for the Justice of the Peace computers from Technology fund.

• Consideration to approve the renewal of the District Clerk’s Technology Fund and for the collection of a $10 fee on certain cases.

• Consideration of accepting and approving the Treasurer’s report for June 2012.

• Consideration of accepting agreement from M.E.N. Water Supply Corp. for permission to cross SECR 3190, Pct. 2.

• Consideration to accept Road Bond from Devon Energy for NECR 2160, NECR 3070 and NECR 3090, Pct. 2.

• Consideration to accept Road Bond from Dallas Production for SECR 3110 & SECR 3150, Pct. 2.

• Consideration of accepting agreement from Sunoco Logistics for permission to cross SECR 0030, Pct. 2.

• Consideration of purchasing motorgrader for Pct. 2.

• Consideration of declaring as salvage a 2008 Case 865 Motorgrader for Pct. 2.

• Consideration of funding a boat for 287 Richland Chambers Fire and Rescue.

• Consideration of funding Fire Truck for Navarro Mills, Pct. 4.  

• Consideration of declaring as salvage a 1997 John Deere 670C Motorgrader for Pct. 1.

• Consideration of approving Subscription Plan and Service Agreement with Everbridge, Inc. for emergency services.

• Consideration of approving Modification 11 to HIDTA Grant.

• Consideration of approving Memorandum of Understanding with Indigent Health Solutions (IHS) for inmate health care pricing.

• Consideration of approving Facility Services Agreement with Brazos Mobile Imaging to reflect the Medicaid allowable transport rate.

• Consideration of approving Resolution Authorizing County Grant - Texas Department of Agriculture for Navarro County Meals on Wheels.

• Executive Session Pursuant to the Texas Government Code Section 551.072 to     discuss Real Property.

• Consideration of action taken on Executive Session pursuant to the Texas     Government Code 551.072 to discuss Real Property.

    Commissioners opened the proposals for the restoration project shortly after the 2 p.m. deadline Tuesday, along with proposals for asbestos abatement in conjunction with the project.
