The mosquito control efforts have continued with spraying nightly throughout the city, according a letter to the public from Corsicana Mayor Chuck McClanahan.
The text of McClanahan’s letter:
“The mosquito control efforts have continued with spraying nightly throughout the city. The truck alternates streets covering the City each week as weather permits.
“The plan is to continue spraying for two weeks and assess the conditions at that time. Time released larva control tablets have been placed in the park areas and in the drainage ways that are accessible from the street.
“Citizens are urged to treat standing water areas on private property. Mosquito control products are available at local hardware and feed stores.
“Once again, citizens are urged to avoid outside activities during dawn and dusk, remove all standing water and wear loose fitting clothes.”
Sincerely,
Chuck McClanahan
Mayor
