Let’s Dance Family Night Out will be held at the Corsicana Country Club from 6 to 10 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Navarro County. There will be great music, dancing, formal photographs with your child, a delicious sit down dinner, party favors and more. The VFW Post 3366 is hosting a dance in the ballroom. Justin Hunter and his band will play from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight. Admission is $5 and donations will be accepted. Come out and bring your friends! Good country music for your listening or dancing pleasure!

Kinsloe House will hold its first Sunday lunch of the new year from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. Members and non-members must call the Kinsloe House at (903) 874-5791 by Aug. 3 to make reservations. You must give the time you wish to come and what you wish to eat. Navarro Regional Hospital will hold a Diabetes Prevention Workshop once monthly for people with pre-diabetes or at risk for diabetes. These classese will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from 5 to 7 p.m. The Diabetes Self-Management Comprehensive Program is an ongoing class for patients diagnosed with diabetes. Kinsloe House Sunday Lunch will be hosted by the Telephone Committee of Kinsloe House at 12 noon about Corsicana with Steve Dieterichs, Main Street and Tourism Director, giving the program. The Telephone committee consists of Beth Harper, chairperson with Cecelia Alexander, Mellie Howard, Jera O’Neal, Winona Stewart, and Marjie Talkington as committee members. Dieterichs will update club members on tourism and downtown economic revitalization developments in the city. He is well known in Corsicana both for his work at the Tourism Center and his other work in Navarro County. Please make your reservations by Monday, August 6. When Are We Going Home Ministry and its Rising Star Creative Ministry will be at the Break N Free Camp in Rice at 6 p.m. where there will be a Back to School party and Water Slide.
Navarro Regional Hospital’s Senior Circle will host an AARP Drivers Safety refresher course designed for drivers 50-plus and up, but is open to anyone. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees may qualify for a reduction in automobile insurance premiums for three years upon completion of the course. Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Sirloin Stockade, 2508 West 7th Ave, Corsicana. Membership is open to U.S. armed forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between Feb. 28, 1961 and May 7, 1975, or in ANY duty location between Aug. 5, 1964 and May 7, 1975.
