A report on WFAA-TV saying that the Corsicana Independent School District would be canceling classes due to illness is not true.
That's the word from Don Denbow, CISD Superintendent.
"It is absolutely erroneous," Denbow said Thursday afternoon when contacted by the Daily Sun.
Denbow said the district office had received numerous calls about the report on Thursday.
The only area school district to announce it was closing was Wortham ISD, which announced it would be closed Thursday and Friday.
The Corsicana Independent School district will be open for classes Friday, Denbow said.
