From Staff Reports
Three Corsicana men have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of 32-year-old Ty Lott in Kerens. Lott was killed in his parents’ driveway around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
Ralando Derrell McGowan, 21, O’Bryan Markeith Cooks, 24, and Wynell Cooks, 26, were arrested Friday at three different locations in Corsicana, according to Police Chief Leonard Slamcik.
Justice of the Peace Bob McQuary arraigned the three men, and set bail at $100,000 for each. They remained in the Navarro County Jail as of Monday.
Ty Lott, a construction worker and father of two, was killed Thursday after getting into a dispute with some men in the next driveway, according to family members.
The suspects and the victim knew each other, Slamcik said.
“They apparently knew each other from Corsicana,” he said. “That’s the extent of what we know so far.”
