Second Annual Habitat for Humanity Eat & Skeet will begin registration at 7 a.m. (breakfast provided) with shooting starting at 8 a.m. Two man teams, $200 per team. Includes shells, targets and some special gifts. Winning team geta a Tower Shoot for four at Upland Bird Country. Second place shooters each receive a shotgun. The Shakers and Scrapers Car Club will host their monthly Cruise In at the Whataburger on Seventh Ave at 6 p.m., so bring your hot rod, muscle car, sports car, motorcycle, project or anything that rolls. Even if you're not showing a vehicle come by and take a look at all the cool vehicles. Be sure to bring your camera and have a great time looking at all the cool rides. The Corsicana Landmark Commission is hosting downtown property owners, business owners, sign contractors and other interested stakeholders for a Public Forum on Proposed Revisions to Sect. 12.703 (4) of the City Code of Ordinances Sign Guidelines for the Corsicana Main Street District

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Sirloin Stockade, 2508 West 7th Ave, Corsicana. Membership is open to U.S. armed forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between Feb. 28, 1961 and May 7, 1975, or in ANY duty location between Aug. 5, 1964 and May 7, 1975. The veteran must submit a copy of his/her DD Form 214 along with the application and dues. Members and guest are invited to come early and eat and visit prior to the meeting.

The Pooch Paddle will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on this last day before the Jester Park Pool closes for the summer. Corsicana Parks and Recreation Department, Sharla Allen, director, extends a special invitation to the general public to bring your dog to the pool for an afternoon of fun and sun. All four-legged and two-legged companions are invited. All dogs must be socialized and non-aggressive. Lifeguards will be on duty. Come join for a howling good time!
