Wingstop to honor veterans

In honor of Veteran’s Day, all Wingstop locations in East Texas, including the store at 1500 West Seventh Avenue in Corsicana, will offer active and retired military personnel a free meal on Sunday, Nov. 11.

All active and retired military personnel will receive a Glider combo meal, which includes two Glider sandwiches, an order of fresh-cut seasoned fries, a regular beverage and dipping sauce.

To receive the complimentary meal, Veterans should show valid credentials or military identification.

“This is our small gesture to show the great admiration, gratitude and pride Wingstop feels for the brave men and women who serve our country,” said Jeff Worthen, who owns and operates the East Texas Wingstop locations. “We are proud to honor veterans with this token of our appreciation.”

Other participating Wingstop restaurants are also located in Tyler, Longview and Lufkin.

With a sole focus on cooked-to-order chicken, the Wingstop menu features traditional and boneless wings, strips and the chain’s newest offering – Glider sandwiches – all sauced and tossed in 10 original flavors. Homemade side dishes include fresh-cut seasoned fries, made daily from Idaho potatoes, Bourbon baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad.

Chili’s

Chili’s Restaurant in Corsicana is offering a special menu item free for retired and active duty military members on Veteran’s Day.
