Corsicana —
The Navarro County Grand Jury returned a total of 36 indictments against 34 individuals in its monthly meeting Wednesday.
Among those receiving indictments were William R. Norton, indicted for indecency with a child. The case stems from an allegation on July 25 involving a 7-year-old female, according to information from R. Lowell Thompson, Navarro County District Attorney.
Also indicted Wednesday was James R. Driver on charges of arson. The allegation stems from a July 27 incident in Angus where he allegedly attempted to set his house on fire while another person was in the home.
Benito C. Martinez was indicted on charges of kidnapping, after a July 13 incident in which he is alleged to have forced another person into his vehicle and hold her against her will. The victim was not harmed.
Harvir Singh was indicted on charges of delivery of a controlled substance over one gram/under four grams, following a March 2 incident in which he allegedly sold K-2, a synthetic marijuana product, to undercover officers at a store in Streetman.

• Gail L. Phillips, possession of a controlled gram over one gram/under four grams in a drug free zone.
• Jennifer K. Robinson, possession of a controlled gram over one gram/under four grams in a drug free zone.
• Lisa Colon, theft by check.
• Emiliano B. Correa, possession of a controlled substance over four grams/under 200 grams with intent to deliver.
• Agustin A. Hernandez, possession of a controlled substance over four grams/under 200 grams with intent to deliver.
• Raymond R. Dodd, aggravated assault.
• James R. Driver, arson.
• Juan M. Fuentes, delivery of a controlled substance over four grams/under 200 grams.

Council OKs airport rules
The Corsicana City Council approved minimum rules and standards for the Corsicana airport when the group met in regular session Tuesday. The written rules will allow the city to receive grant money from the Federal Aviation Administration, which comes through the Texas Department of Transportation.
