The Navarro College Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet at noon Wednesday in the Lone Star Room of the Walker Dining Hall on the Corsicana campus.
The only agenda item for trustees is a public hearing related to the previously stated intent of setting the college’s ad valorem tax rate at 11.9 cents per $100 assessed valuation.
No one spoke a the first public hearing on the intended tax rate, held last week.
The public hearings are a part of the required process trustees must follow in order to adopt a budget and tax rate for the coming year.
Official adoption of the tax rate and proposed budget is expected at the trustee’s regular September meeting.
