Hubbard boys crush Covington, 65-24

Eight players scored at least six points each as Hubbard ran past Covington, 65-24, in late Tuesday boys basketball action.

Tristan Johnson and Andrew Thompson each had 10 to pace the Jaguars' balanced attack. Hubbard moved to 4-1 on the season, and plays in the Grandview tournament this weekend.

The Jaguars jumped out to a big edge early, taking an 18-4 lead after the first period, and leading 30-9 at the break.

Jordon Reinke had eight, and John Jones and Donam Johnson added seven for the Jaguars. Isaiah Thompson, Chad Caldwell and Mike Fletcher each had six.

The first goal of the game was scored by Katy Driver and assisted by Aricelia Castaneda at the 25-minute mark.
