CorsiTech is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of the first-ever ChemStewards Sustainability Award for its efforts to reduce hazardous substances and greenhouse gas emissions and develop more sustainable products and practices at its Corsicana based facility. In addition, CorsiTech has received the 2011 Silver Award for its achievements in implementing a recognized environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S) program. The awards are given as part of the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates’ (SOCMA) annual Performance Improvement Awards, sponsored by ChemStewards — the association’s EHS&S program.
CorsiTech is being recognized for its successful efforts to improve processes, replace solvents and improve products by reducing toxicity and reducing emissions as well as its thorough, results-oriented EHS&S employee training programs.
“We are pleased to receive these awards from SOCMA in recognition of our longstanding efforts to implement sustainability practices and for our company’s commitment to performance excellence,” said Tom Kowalski, Vice President. “In particular, we commend our employees for their hard work all year to reduce the hazards to public health and our environment.”
CorsiTech was recognized at SOCMA’s 90Annual Dinner on December 5in New York City. George Schneider and Rebecca Cain from CorsiTech accepted the awards at the dinner.

Berry Chrysler Dodge Jeep is pleased to announce the addition of Jose Martinez to its sales staff. Martinez, originally from Houston, relocated to Corsicana from Fayetteville, Ark. roughly a year ago with his wife, Lisa, and their four children. Martinez has met many in the community over the last year in a sales position with another auto dealership, but looks forward to meeting many more folks in his new position with Berry Chrysler.
