Citizen’s National Bank

Saturday’s announcement by the FDIC of the closing of nine U.S. banks owned by FBOP Corporation of Oak Brook, Ill. Included a Teague, Texas bank with a similar name to a Corsicana branch. However, the two are not related.

The FDIC did take over the Teague bank called Citizen’s National Bank, but there is no connection with the Corsicana bank of the same name, according to Terry Fauble of Citizen’s National Bank of Corsicana.

The Teague bank that was taken over by regulators Friday was one of nine banks owned by the Illinois corporation. FBOP Corporation took over the Teague Citizen’s National Bank in 1995, according to information on the bank’s Web site.

The Teague bank, and eight others operated by the Illinois firm, are now owned by U.S. Bank in Minneapolis, a division of US Bancorp,, according to a news release from the FDIC.

The Corsicana Citizen’s National Bank is part of a group of East Texas banks, and is in no way affiliated with the Teague operation.

The closing of nine banks in one day was the most the FDIC has shut since the financial crisis began taking down banks last year. The closings boost the number of failed U.S. banks this year to 115.

Kohl’s

Kohl’s Distribution Center associates in Corsicana volunteered their time with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Navarro County on Sept. 14, 2009. The associates and Club members had a wonderful time participating in art projects, technology, game-room activities and sports.

Kohl’s also donated a check in the amount of $500 to the Boys & Girls Club to support youth-focused community programs or initiatives. Kohl’s A-Team activities provide the company’s associates the opportunity to volunteer their time and show their team spirit through participation in various events with non-profit organizations and charities that benefit children and youth. Volunteering allows Kohl’s associates the opportunity to help local kids. The experience is enhanced by corporate grants given directly to the charity.

“Our kids truly benefit from the partnership we have established with Kohl’s,” said Eula Linicomn, Boys & Girls Club of Navarro County executive director. “They learn something new from each A-Team experience and more importantly, our kids benefit from the relationships formed with A- Team members.”

Dr. Mark Eldore, M.D.

Board certified physician Dr. Mark Eldore, M.D. OB/GYN, of Athens announces the arrival of the ZERONA, the only non-invasive, body slimming, low-level laser treatment, to his practice. He’s opened a new location for cosmetic procedures called Ageless Image Aesthetics and Laser. Dr. Eldore is the first physician to offer the ZERONA in the northeast Texas area. Ageless Image also offers a variety of cosmetic procedures including pain free permanent hair reduction, Pixel skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and IPL photofacials.

During clinical trials, the ZERONA has been scientifically proven to result in an average of 3.6 inches lost from patients’ waist, hips and thighs. Unlike invasive weight loss surgery, ZERONA is a revolutionary method that is applied externally without the dangers associated with surgery or other non-invasive devices which rely on heating the tissue. The new technology has been proven to reduce inches from target areas such as the tummy, back, hips, thighs, buttocks, chin, neck and arms; contour and reshape the body; and tighten and tone loose skin.

The introduction of ZERONA to Dr. Eldore’s practice, at Ageless Image, will provide those seeking a safe alternative to surgery with a body contouring program that causes no bruising, scarring and discomfort. The simple procedure consists of six 40-minute treatments over a two-week period.

“Our patients have been pleased with the results from ZERONA treatments and because there are no needles, no incisions and no recovery time involved, they can continue with their daily activities immediately after each treatment,” Eldore said. ZERONA is an excellent option for patients who do not want to experience the downtime, health risks or pain associated with more invasive procedures for body countouring.”

Since its inception, Zerona has been the most sought after non-invasive procedure on internet search engines. Zerona has also been featured on Nightline, ABC News, Rachel Ray, and The Doctors, just to mention a few. Office manager, Kristy Smith and Laser Technician, Julie Harrell both lost a total of 6 inches in two weeks.

ZERONA uses a patented and clinically proven low-level laser technology developed by Erchonia, the global leader in low-level laser healthcare applications. The results were proven effective through a double-blind, randomized, multi-site, and placebo-controlled study.

Clinical studies demonstrated that the ZERONA low-level laser targets adipose tissue (fat storing cells) and stimulates the fat cell to liquefy the fat within the cell. A small pore is then naturally created in the protective membrane of the fat cell enabling the fatty matter to seep out of the cell until absorbed by the lymphatic system. The excess fat is then passed out of the body during its normal course of detoxification which results in millions of fat cells becoming smaller and inches are reduced.

“ZERONA is the leading technology for body contouring without surgery,” said Steve Shanks, Vice President at Erchonia, the creator and manufacturer of the device. “We are pleased to bring such a superior product to highly-respected doctors such as Dr. Eldore who can now offer ZERONA as a perfect solution for those who want to jump start or maintain a healthier and slimmer lifestyle in Athens .”

For more information on the ZERONA treatments at Ageless Image, call (903) 670-2543. To learn more about ZERONA, visit www.zerona.com.
