It’s time once again for Healthy Woman’s “Fitness Night at the Y”, Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. The third annual event is the result of a partnership between Navarro Regional Hospital’s Healthy Woman program and the Corsicana “Y.” Attendees to this free event can receive a fitness assessment with a BMI score, experience fitness classes in “mini-sessions” and see what the “Y” has to offer for personal training, adult group exercise and sports opportunities.
During this event, the “Y” will be offering a special incentive of no joining fee for new members. Door prizes, healthy snacks and t-shirts will be given away as well. Paula Butler, Texas Agri-Life Extension agent, will also be on hand with information about the upcoming Walk Across Texas event as well as the Step up to Scale Down program.
Space is limited so make your reservation quickly. This event is for adults only however childcare is available to attendees. Please indicate number of children and ages when making your reservation. Baseball complex building bid awarded

The Dawson Garden Club has chosen the home of Melanie Dotson at 900 N. Fullerton Ave. as the Yard of the Month for May. The lawns, both back and front, are beautifully manicured. The trees are luxuriant as are the flowers encircling them. The front porch is inviting and there are beautiful blooms. The winding path to the front door lends a romantic touch to this beautiful landscape, and there are colorful blooms at the back porch as well. Go by to see this lovely yard.
