Corsicana — Harmony Baptist Church, 400 East 12th Avenue, Corsicana, Texas, will hold its installation of officers service on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at 3 p.m.  Rev. Samuel Chambers and Bethany Baptist Church will be guests.  Rev. Chambers will be speaker and Bishop Baker will give the charge to the new officers. Bishop John Baker is pastor.  Elder Michael Williams is associate minister.



Trinity Assembly of God (formerly Northside Assembly) will hold its first homecoming Sunday, Jan. 6. Breakfast with Pastor James Williams and wife Judy will be held at 8 a.m., followed by Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 11 a.m. with Rev. W.F. Starnes of Carrollton. Everyone is welcome,  please bring your family and friends. Trinity Assembly of God is located at the corner of West Hwy. 31 and FM 2452 (Corbet Road) across the street from Carpet Country.



Greater Love Outreach Fellowship Church, 700 East Park Ave. would like to invite you to help Celebrate Our Pastor's Ordination Service in becoming a Bishop;  concluding our Fourth Annual Holy Convocation at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan 4, 2013. The Cowboy Church of Ennis Cracked Pots are pleased to host Sandra Wakefield.  She will portray Queen Esther.  We invite all the community to bring a covered dish and join us for a wonderful evening of food, fellowship and great entertainment at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10.  Cowboy Church of Ennis is located on Interstate 45, exit 244. Sandra Wakefield brings Women of the Bible to life. These realistic portrayals "draw you in" so that you feel as if you are actually THERE.  This award-winning actress has a warm, welcoming style that has made her an audience favorite.  Her ministry, Life Theatre, includes not only portrayals of Women of the Bible, but contemporary one-woman plays as well.  Sandra is an ordained minister and hospital chaplain.  While living in England, she was a member of the London Bach Choir, and was one of two Americans to sing at the Royal Wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana.



Unity Baptist Church, 101 S. 30th St., where Chad Owens is pastor, invites you to services: Sunday School 9:45 a.m.  Sunday — Worship and Children’s Church at 11 a.m., Training Classes at 5 p.m., Worship at 6 p.m., and Wednesday — Mid Week Service at 7 p.m. Kings Kids class meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Tuesday, a group from Unity visits shut-ins. Thursday, there is a Bible study at Northwest Apartments Community Center at 7 p.m. Sunday, a group teaches and sings at Twilight Nursing Home at 9 a.m. and another group sings at Country Meadows at 2 p.m. Unity will be open for all Church Services during the Holidays, please come and visit with us!  For transportation to services, call (903) 872-2861. Church on the Rock in Rice will hold its first Saturday of the month singing beginning at 7 p.m. with open mic, followed by Cross Timber taking the stage at 8 p.m. to perform. Please come and join as we worship God with song and praise.



The Open Bible Church led by Pastor Dave Alexander is starting in Retreat, with the first service to be at 10 a.m. Jan. 6 at the Retreat City Hall on FM 709. Currently non-denominational, Alexander himself was reared as a Baptist so the message will reflect that background. Everyone is invited and welcome to come worship in this new congregation as it forms. Bring your Bible.



Lone Star Cowboy Church of Navarro County, located at 4495 W. State Hwy. 22, invites all to join us for our Sunday Church Services starting at 10 a.m. We have nursery for babies through age 2 years and activities for 3 and 4 year olds. Children ages 5 through 12 are invited to meet in the children’s building for Children’s Church.  We also have the following activities: Monday Nights at 7 p.m., Mounted Shooting, Tuesday at 7 p.m., Team Roping and Women’s fellowship. 7 p.m. each Wednesday is Bible Study and Youth Service. Barrel racing is held at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Everyone is welcome.

Wesley United Methodist Church is calling all third, fourth and fifth graders to come GROW! Registration for Noah’s Kids continues for its new after-school program at Wesley United Methodist Church that begins from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15  The after-school program will meet once a week this spring, but twice a week in the fall. Children will learn how to care for God’s good creation by learning to grow fruits and vegetables in organic gardens as well as other projects concerning farm animals. All tools and supplies are provided. The food grown by the children will be taken home for the consumption of their families. Intercessors for Navarro County Men’s Prayer Breakfast will meet at 6:45 a.m. Wednesdays. Trinity Baptist on N. 13th will host the Jan. 9 breakfast, and on Jan. 16, the men will return to the usual meeting place at Navarro College. Missionary Baptist Church, 405 S. 15th Street in Corsicana is pleased to welcome Bro. John Fulmer and his family to the church this Sunday, Jan. 6. Bro. Fulmer will be here in view of a call as pastor. The schedule of services will be modified this Sunday. Sunday School will begin at 9:45 a.m. followed by Morning Worship at 10:50 a.m. Lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall to give all in attendance the opportunity to enjoy the fellowship together and meet Bro. Fulmer and his family. The afternoon Worship service will begin at approximately 1:15 p.m. rather than the usual 4 p.m. time. The regular Wednesday evening Bible Study resumes this week in the Fellowship Hall at 7 p.m. God continues to richly bless Missionary Baptist Church.
