Marine reaches out from Afghanistan

Corsicana — As he winds down a tour of duty in Afghanistan, Marine Sgt. Tony Ragan had one special wish for his son’s 4th birthday: a public “shout out” in the Corsicana Daily Sun.

As staunch supporters of our freedom fighters, the Daily Sun was more than willing to accommodate Ragan, a 2003 graduate of Mildred High School.

Happy birthday Hunter, and thank you for your service, Sgt. Ragan.

— Daily Sun staff

Hunter,

I ‘m sorry I can’t be there to celebrate your birthday with you, but I am so proud of you for taking care of Mom and Pudge while I have been gone.  You are truly Daddy’s little Marine.  I love you and miss you and not a day goes by that I’m not thinking about you.  I’ll be home soon buddy.  Happy Birthday!

Love,

The Proudest Father in the World
