Bobby L. Covington, 50, of Rock Springs, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.
A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Covington was born in Corsicana, the son of Johnny Ray Covington and Ruth Irene Lowell.
Covington attended schools in Green River and graduated from Green River High School with the Class of 1981. He served in the United States Army. Covington married Deborah Alice Bingham in Rock Springs March 23, 1991. He worked for Halliburton as a plant operator for 20 years. His interests included fishing, camping, hunting, attending Rendezvous and Mountain Man gatherings, and loved spending time with his children and his pets.
He was preceded in death by his dogs Charlotte and Clover.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Covington of Rock Springs; parents, Ruth McFarland of Green River, and Johnny Covington and wife Janet of Barry; two sons, Robert Pilkington of Rock Springs, and Michael Pilkington of Rock Springs; two daughters, April Johansen and husband Ted of Green River, and Amanda Pilkington of Rock Springs; one brother, Charles Covington of Barry; one sister, Ladale Brinton and husband David of Lyman; three grandchildren, Jorden Johansen, Anna Johansen and Alexus Johansen; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at the LDS Stake Center, 2055 Edgar Street, Rock Springs. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, North of Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Friends may call on Thursday at the church one hour prior to services.
