Annie “Winnie” Slate-Kamper, 87, of Fort Worth, formerly of Corsicana, passed away at Arlington Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012.
She was born March 21, 1925 to Ethel Baker and Samuel Hopper in Corsicana.
Winnie was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Dan Franklin Slate of Corsicana, and Wayne Kamper of North Richland Hills; sisters, Bea Madry and Sammie Thomas; and brother, George Steve Hopper.
Survivors include a daughter, Vickey Wade and husband Freddy of Pittsburg, Texas; son, Dan Slate and wife Jennifer of Arlington; grandchildren, Wendy O’Rouke of South Fork, Colo., Jill Wade of Frisco, Stephanie Slate and Tony Slate of Keller; great-grandchildren, Wade, Wesley, Trish, Tristen, Josh, Rachael, Isabella, Jeven, Landon and Benjammin; sister, Evelyn Hopper of Fort Worth; and nieces, Lynn Thomas of Dallas, and Sharon Ferrell of Oklahoma City.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Corley Funeral Home Chapel.
