Bettie Daniel was born in Corsicana on Dec. 19, 1927 to Vera Mae and Albert Beeman. She resided in Euless from 1958 until her death on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012.
Bettie married Louis B. Daniel in 1950. She and Louis had two children, Carolyn Daniel and Lee Daniel, both of Euless. She is also survived by her sister, Wynell Payne of Waxahachie.
Bettie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Euless. She came to know the Lord when she was 12 years of age through her Sunday school teacher and Mother’s guidance. Her baptism was in a stock tank on a hot Sunday in July. She was salutatorian of her graduating class at Mildred High School in 1945. Following high school, she went to work for Dr. Pepper as a secretary and attended secretarial school at night. After she and Louis were wed, they moved frequently as required by Louis’ job as a lineman with Texas Power and Light. One year they moved 12 times renting apartments from widows. They moved to Irving in 1956 and in 1958 bought their current home in Euless. Bettie was a homemaker during her children’s early years. After her children started school, she went to work for General Electric as an executive secretary. She enjoyed her work and the people she worked with became like family. After retiring from General Electric in 1993, she devoted her time to her family, cooking, and keeping her yard. The most rewarding time of her life was visiting the sick and working in the prayer room of the First Baptist of Euless.
Burial was held Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 at Resthaven Memorial Park, Corsicana.
