Mike Cupps

Mike Cupps, 55, of Corsicana passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Mike was preceded in death by his loving mother, Jackie Cupps.

Mike was born July 12, 1954, in Ohio to Jackie and Paul Cupps and at a very young age moved to Texas. Mike attended schools in Ohio and Wichita Falls. He was employed by L3 Communications for 13 years as a heat treat operator and lead. Mike enjoyed lawnmower racing and was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to all his fellow racers. Mike was also known for Acme Mower Sports.

Mike married the love of his life, Vicki Vincent, on Sept. 18, 2009. They shared the love of lawnmower racing and their families.

Mike is survived by his wife, Vicki Cupps; father, Paul Cupps; stepdaughters, Amy and Kimberly Chappa; grandchildren, Caidyn Millsap and Taylor Murphy; and numerous extended family and friends. Mike will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Caidyn would like to say “I Love You Baby Doll PaPa.”

The family would like to extend a personal thank you to Dr. McCullum and staff at Baylor Hospital of Dallas.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Dollar officiating.
