— Debbie White Elston, 58, of Axtell, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012, at a Waco hospital.  

Debbie was born May 2, 1954, in Roswell, N.M., one of eight children of Clarence and Mary Belle (Bradley) White. She was raised in Texas and had lived in Grand Prairie, Duncanville and Brushie Prairie in Navarro County before residing in Axtell for the past 23 years. Debbie had worked at Ta-Tex Thermal Graphics in Waco and loved crafting, scrapbooking, making floral arrangements, family history and genealogy. She was also well known as having a special fondness for rescuing animals and even humans on occasion.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Buddy Adamson in 2004, and Donnie Elston in 2005.

Survivors include her husband, James Elston of Axtell; daughter, Melissa Fleming-Wallis and husband Kenneth of Brushie Prairie; son, Scott Elston and wife Ashley of Lorena; two brothers, Clarence White and wife Maxine of Berryville, Ark., and Dwain White and wife Nonie of Weimar; three sisters, Mary Lou James of Fort Worth, Marie Williams of Hubbard and Pat Boiles and husband Mac of Fort Worth; her first husband, Harold Adamson of Frost; seven grandchildren, Jessica Beesley of Axtell, Marybelle Adamson of Waco, Christan Adamson of Waco, Leland Fleming of Waco, Cameron Elston of Lorena, Conner Elston of Lorena, Bailey Adamson and one more on the way; two great-grandchildren, Jordynn Adamson and Justin Adamson, both of Waco, and A’Riyah Beesley, due to arrive in September; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Wade Funeral Chapel in Hubbard with Pastor Mike Green officiating.
