Charles Edward Carpenter, 74 of Pursley, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013. He was born May 4, 1938 in Tyler to Charlie and Ollie Mae Ratliff Carpenter.

He was preceded in death by parents, and adopted parents Raymond and Janet Wells.

He is survived by wife Cheryl Carpenter of Pursley; daughter Angela Dyer of Pursley; brother Gerald Wells of Red Oak; grandchildren, Janna Weiss and David of Bedford, Becky Partain and Leonard of Haslett; great grandchildren, James Luster, Ryan Partain, Ryan Goldstein, Caitlyn Weiss.
