Corsicana —



Mr. James C. Gilliam, 77, of Arlington passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013, in Arlington.

He was born on January 15, 1936 in Eureka, Texas to parents, Connie D and Jessie Laverne Gilliam.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Corley Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the the Rev. John Mark officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Gilliam; daughters, Nickie Haynes and husband Larry of Ennis, and Stacey Hoots and husband Michael of Arlington; son, Jeffrey L. Gilliam and wife Susan of Roanoke; grandson, Joshua Stout of Beaumont; granddaughters, Sydney Stout of Beaumont, Tiffany Calder and Amilyn Martin of Lewisville; sisters, Aleene Pollock of Corsicana, Verna McDonald of McKinney, Audra Ground and husband Randall of Paris, and Margie Riley and husband Al of Mesquite; an aunt, Imogene Moore of Corsicana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial contribution may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.

    She worked as a bookkeeper for 35 years at Watson Truck & Supply in Hobbs, N.M. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
