Daisy Mae Murphy Robinson

Corsicana —

Daisy Mae Murphy Robinson passed away quietly as she had lived her life on November 2, 2012 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 6, 1923 to George Washington Murphy and Mittie Mae Ferrell Murphy in Mildred. She was raised in Corsicana and married Randall Lewis Robinson on December 31, 1945. Daisy and "Pepa" were married for 44 years. She worked at Adams Hat Factory in Corsicana for twenty one years, retiring in 1981 to spend time with her children and wonderful grandchildren. She was affectionately known as "Mema" by everyone. She cherished her beloved dog, Bandit and enjoyed working in her yard and growing beautiful flowers.



Daisy is survived by her seven children and their families, Wayne "Sam" Robinson and wife Patsy of Mexia, Randall "Bud" Robinson Jr. and wife Melissa of Streetman, Carolyn Schick and husband Billie of Fairfield, Kenneth Robinson of Conroe, Shirley Robinson of Fairfield, Paul Robinson and wife Sandra of Streetman, Paula Paulk of Waco; twenty grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren. Also sisters, Georgia Sonntag of Arlington, Rosie and husband Charlie Thompson of Garland, Lillie Gayle and husband Doc Holladay of Plano.



Daisy is preceded in death by her parents, step mother Emma Boyte Murphy, husband Randall, sister Hazel Carroll, grandsons Chris Trainer and Kenny Robinson.



Visitation will be 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Elmo Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kevin Schick, Keith Robinson, Brent Cochran, Jason Cochran, Chad Archibald, Adrian Robinson, Joel Schick, Colby Archibald, Aaron Robinson, Paul Robinson Jr.
